Out of the holocaust was birthed the modern state of Israel.  The stories associated with that event are tragic and miraculous at the same time.  The nations of the world closed their doors to fleeing Jewish people, Great Britain among the worst of them.  It is good to remember the FACTS of the past in order to better detect many of the lies and half-truths that are heard today about Israel.  Current events must be put into historical context or they are totally misunderstood.  Israel today is the focus of continued hatred and vilification.  A simple history lesson would provide a good dose of reality and truth to many.  It is time to remember.

In this article the author reminds us that if you put 6,000,000 graves side by side they would stretch 6300 miles.  Imagine the impact that would have.  It is time to remember before there is a repeat of it in our lifetime.

A greater revelation of this comes when we re-examine the well known episode in Genesis 3.  We know Satan approached Eve and deceived her into eating from the forbidden fruit (by the way,  Adam also ate, as he was with her all along and is later held responsible for the sin, as the first Adam – Genesis 3:6)  Paul uses Genesis 3 as his basis for not allowing women to teach men, as Eve was the one that was deceived.  (1 Timothy 2:9-15)

I see something here that sheds additional light onto this matter.  Eve in fact was the first person on planet earth to be attacked by Satan.  Through New Testament eyes is it not more than valid to say she was attacked.  If you or I experienced a direct encounter with Satan himself and he attempted to lie and deceive us, we would say we were attacked by him.  Ephesians 6 says our shield of faith is able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  Eve took a direct hit of a huge fiery dart.  She fell prey to his attack and deception, as do many Christians today.

This is the very first attack on humanity from the enemy.   By principle of first mention, we have much to consider in this matter.  I see here the first priority of Satan’s attack strategy is to go after the females.  We see it down through history right to our day.  It explains much.  Women are under constant attack, being abused in every way possible.  They are the first to suffer from war, hunger, poverty, sex trade, modern anti-God societal values, etc.

Satan is the god of this age and the whole world is under the sway of the wicked one.  I see so much of the current world’s system that is bent on destroying God’s girls.  Just one example.  The secular humanistic society we live in has made it the norm for boy and girl to live together either before marriage or instead of marriage.  Statistics show that this is not a good idea.  It is an especially bad deal for the girls.  This set up leads to greater rates of family breakup, greater abuse of woman, and more broken hearts.  Family breakup is a leading path to poverty for woman with the children – single mothers.  I hate to see God’s girls settle for so little.  They want love and security and are settling for sex.

I believe that God knew that Satan would target the females.  He saw her vulnerability.  He saw she was weaker and males would take advantage of her in inconceivable ways.  As always God had a plan and strategy to counter Satan.

He designed the female to desire security and to flourish in stable relationships that would protect her.  He designed marriage and family life as a stronghold of protection for her.  He commanded husbands to love them,  protect them and cover them, live with them in an understanding way, giving honour to their wives.  All this is designed to provide for her a place of protection from the plans and schemes of the devil.  In Malachi 6 God rebukes husbands for divorcing his wife for any old reason.  Again men were abusing their wives.  Families are designed by God for her protection.  Is it any wonder that the family in Britain is under great attack from all sides.  It is being redesigned, put down, discouraged.  We need to see this as Satan’s strategy against women.  Without stable marriages and family life women are vulnerable.

Too often scripture is seen through a lens that puts our girls down and demeans them.  As a result many throw out God’s instructions calling them outdated, all the while falling right into the hands of Satan who wants them exposed for his continual plans of destruction.  Girls themselves are living lives that put them in harms way.  They are acting more like men, out in the streets, drinking and having sex all with the guise of freedom.  Once again they are deceived.   May our Christian girls be wise and not expose themselves by living lives like those in the world.

This “big picture” view of God’s plans gives me such love and compassion for God’s girls, wanting to do everything I can to honour His heart to protect and provide for them.
