Worship God As Creator
For a long time now the Lord has been saying to us as a church, “It is
all about Him” and not about us. He wants us to take our eyes off
ourselves, our situations, our challenges and worship Him. In turn,
recently He spoke to someone in our church and said something like
“for you it is all about Me, but for Me it is all about you.” Isn’t
that just like God?!
There is something here that relates to creation and God as Creator.
The current debate about evolution has touched the body of Christ as
well. So many Christians and so many churches have mixed some form
of evolution with their understanding of the bible. As I understand
it most bible colleges teach some form of evolution as well. Do you
see how this takes away from the glory of God? Romans 1:18-25 warns
us about this. “For since the creation of the world His invisible
attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are
made … because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as
God…”
There is something HUGE here that effects our worship of Him as
Creator. Is it not possible that one of the reasons the church in the
UK has lost most of its power and authority is that we have welcomed
this lie into our midst? Along with a misunderstanding of Israel, the
church has been weakened and how this must hurt Him.
More on this next time…
