I heard something this week that jolted me.  I was listening to a recent State of the Nation update tape by Clifford Hill.  These are excellent for keeping up with important information about the state of affairs in the UK and often prophetic insight from a respected leader in the UK.

Almost as an aside, he said there are two huge issues that draw major Satanic attack — Israel on the international front and families on the home front.

I have long known that the situation in the Middle East draws much spiritual attack against God’s prophetic word.  The enemy has mobilized his attack on all fronts:  Islam, the media, most national governments in their political policies, and even much of the church.  By standing for Israel and the Jewish people in accordance with the Word of God, one is becoming increasingly isolated and attacked.

What struck me was to put the attack on the family in that same category.  We see so many Christian families struggling and being attacked on all fronts.  Some of these areas are clearly the enemy trying to destroy marriages and families.  Many Christian’s have spouses that are not yet in the Kingdom many of which are strongly anti-Christian.  There is special focus against Christian families but also on the family nation-wide.  Satan hates the family as God designed it.  As I said on my last blog, a new study shows that 97% of families that stay together through the raising of their children are married couples.  There is every pressure to redefine the family, encourage alternatives to the family that will more than likely lead to family breakdown and trauma for the children.

We need to pray for the family in the country.  Let us strengthen our prayers and even move into spiritual warfare against the plans of the enemy to destroy marriages and families.   Let us win this battle, especially for those Christians we know personally who are under severe attack.
